Vegan Protein Burger Pattie
Gluten-free, made with primarily whole foods!!
The most straightforward burgers to make — all you need is ONE bowl and ONE fry pan!
Remember, you can always substitute ingredients for what you have on hand. You can use this as a 'base' recipe and mix and match as you like.
Coconut oil to fry with

4 flax eggs (1/4 cup ground flax, 1/3 cup water, mix and let rest for 5 minutes until it forms a gel)

200g block extra firm tofu, crumbled in your hands
1 1/2 cups sprouted lentils
1 small white onion, chopped
1 head of garlic, finely chopped
1/2 cup raw grated beetroot
3 tbsp sesame seeds
2 tbsp. tamari
3 tbsp. tomato paste
3 tbsp mustard
1 tbsp. paprika
2 tsp. coriander powder
1/2 cup sorghum flour (or any other GF flour)
Sea salt and pepper
Prepare the flax egg.
Combine all other ingredients in a bowl.
Add the flax egg.
Form into burger-shaped patties with your hands.
Warm a fry-pan with the coconut oil
Fry roughly 8 minutes each side
Note: You can bake these, oil-free! Oven 180 for 15 minutes aside. Your choice.
